Joseph D. Kalkhurst,
SIOR
Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing and Sales
 Joe Kalkhurst oversees the operation of the Commercial Division and serves on the executive committee of York Properties, Inc. He has over 30 years of real estate brokerage and management experience and is a past President of the Raleigh board of Realtors. He has also received their Realtor of the Year honor. He specializes in tax deferred exchange work involving office and industrial income properties, as well as “build to suit” and sale/lease back transactions. Joe is an active industrial member of the Society of industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and a former president of the Carolinas Chapter. Membership in the Society signifies the highest level of professional performance. |

John H Kerr, IV, SIOR

 John Kerr has been with York since 1988 after working three years in the Triangle’s residential real estate market. A native of Goldsboro, NC and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, John has developed a broad base of knowledge of the Triangle commercial market. John currently handles York’s accounts with Pylon Commercial Park and York Family Properties. He is also active in tenant representation and the purchase of real estate by owner occupants. He specializes in office, warehouse and flex-space project with an emphasis on West Raleigh and the I-40 corridor. John is an active SIOR member specializing in industrial leasing and sales. SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) is the preeminent professional association of commercial real estate practitioners. John has served on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Association, TCAR, which has over 500 members. John is active in a variety of community affairs including fund raising for the Central YMCA and serving on their Board of Advisors. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Contemporary Science Center, is active in raising money for the Boys Club of Wake County and giving at the Leadership Level to the United Way. John coached youth sports with the Raleigh Park and Recreation Department. |

 Ron Schwartz has been involved with commercial real estate brokerage in Raleigh for twenty years. He has been with York for the past eleven years. Ron has successfully completed all Certified Commercial Investment Member courses for CCIM designation. In addition to commercial brokerage, Ron owns and manages and has developed several commercial properties in Raleigh and Cary. He is also actively engaged in direct mail marketing. Ron is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and was President of the State Distributing Corporation, a wine and beer distributor, for 22 years. Ron is the leading broker of office condominiums in the Raleigh/Durham area. He is active in the Raleigh Jewish Community and serves on the Boards of the Raleigh-Cary Federation and Hillel of UNC at Chapel Hill.
 Amy Bush Amy Bush first joined York Properties in 1996. She is a native of Raleigh and has seen tremendous growth in her home city. She received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.A. from the University of Louisville. Prior to entering real estate sales, she had 10 years sales experience in the wine and personnel industries. While at York she has developed a niche in the area of sales and leasing of office buildings and condominiums. In 2002, the Schwartz-Bush sales team were the top producers at York Properties.

Peter Pace, SIOR
Vice President
Commercial Sales and Leasing
 Peter has been with York Properties since 1994, specializing in office leasing and brokerage, as well as land and investment property sales. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983, Peter founded a retail company, which he sold in 1993. Peter owns several residential and commercial properties in Raleigh and is an active member of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). Peter is also the company’s regional and national TCN representative and is a member of the Raleigh-Wake County Board of Realtors and the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors. Peter is active in the local community through his work with the Boy Scouts, Edenton Street United Methodist Church and coaching baseball and basketball teams at the Salvation Army and the Jaycee Community Center. |

Bo Bennett

 Bo joined York Properties in 1999 and has been involved in Raleigh community real estate since 1991. Before joining York Properties, Bo was the Broker in Charge at Lyston Farmer & Assoc., a commercial real estate company that merged with York Properties in 1999. Bo has a broad range of experience including tenant representation, landlord representation real estate investment sales and the formation of limited liability companies. Bo currently handles all the accounts that were formerly at Lyston Farmer & Associates, including North Hills Professional Park & North Hills Office Mall. Bo is a CCIM candidate and a 1990 graduate of Hampden Sydney, and a Greensboro, N.C. native. |

Gene H. Cowell

 Gene is a seasoned real estate professional with more than 30 years of active experience in all aspects of commercial real estate. He has been active in full service commercial restate broker activities in the Raleigh-Durham Research Triangle, NC market since 1985. Licensed in North Carolina, Gene has focused his energies successfully representing property owners, developers and corporate clients in the triangle market area and throughout eastern North Carolina. Although Gene has been involved in a wide range of brokerage activities, his area of concentration in on large land transactions for the retail and shopping center industry. He has been involved in over $100 million of sales and lease transactions including some of the largest dollar volume transactions in the Triangle area and Eastern North Carolina. Gene’s professional affiliations include The Commercial Network, International Council of Shopping Centers, Raleigh-Wake County Board of Realtors and Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors. Gene has regularly supplemented his real estate experience with continuing education coursed in brokerage activities, retail site selection, corporate real estate administration, commercial leasing, real estate appraisal and others. Gene has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |

Tad Thornhill

 Tad has been with York Properties, Inc. since 2001. He is a Raleigh native and a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1995 Tad went to work for his family’s company in Raleigh. After receiving his North Carolina real estate sales license in 2000 he began working for York Properties, Inc. specializing in office and industrial leasing and sales. He is currently working towards his CCIM designation and is involved in the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors. Tad recently received his Broker’s license in 2004 and has been assisting on some property management assignments as well as leasing and sales. |

Boss Poe, CCIM

 Boss Poe, CCIM has been with York Properties since September 2001 but has been an NC Salesman for 8 years.
Since joining York Properties, Boss has focused on developing relationships exclusively with retail tenants, landlords, sellers, retail land owners, as well as buyers of commercial property. Boss is prepared to take on challenging projects and work hard in order to finish what he has started. Boss’ commitment to the commercial real estate industry is evidenced by his specialized continuing education at the national level as well as his endurance through one of the worst commercial real estate markets in recent history.
Boss is proud to be a CCIM, VP/Secretary/Treasurer with the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors, a Board of Director with the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education, a member of the Triangle Community Coalition, and an active member of the Regional Transportation Alliance.

Colin Perry

 Colin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001, and spent several years in sales in the packaging supply industry before joining York Properties in 2005. A native of Eastern North Carolina who also has ties in Charlotte, he is happy to call Raleigh his home. Colin specializes in retail tenant representation as well as office and industrial sales and leasing, both landlord and tenant. Colin is currently working towards his CCIM designation and is active in the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors. |

Judson McMillan

 Judson is a Raleigh native and a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 2001, Judson went on to work in the mortgage industry for nearly 5 years. After experiencing a high level of success, he expanded his horizons and joined York Properties, Inc. in 2006. Specializing in office, land, and warehouse sales and leasing, Judson draws from his local knowledge and resources to provide the highest level of service for his clients and their needs. Judson is currently a member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors and the Triangle Area Office Building Association. |

Brian E. Wallace

 Brian is a native of Chapel Hill, NC and joined York Commercial in December of 2007. Brian came to York Commercial from a Raleigh based student housing developer where he practiced residential and investment real estate since 2001. A graduate of the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, Brian has real estate experience throughout the Carolina's. Brian's current focus ranges from office and industrial properties, to investment, land brokerage and retail representation. Brian is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors, the Urban Land Institute and is a CCIM Candidate while pursuing his designation. Brian currently resides in Raleigh, NC with wife Helen. |
